Upcoming Events-

October 23rd- RRH Soup Supper!! Starting at 4:30pm to 7pm at the Russell County 4-H Building. Serving-Green Bean Dumpling, Chicken & Noodle with Butterballs, Ham & Beans, Relishes, Pie & Cake, Tea or Coffee. Adults: $8 and Children: $4.50 for 10 and under! Take out is available! Quart size of soup is $10. Country Store and Bake Sale: Purses, Jewelry, Handmade Creations, Blankets, many one-of-a kind items!

October 24th-25th: Wolf's Haunted Barn!! Staring at 7pm at 713 S Windsor St, Russell. Come out and enjoy hay rack rides, roast marshmallows, and walk thru the haunted barns!! $5 per person! Kids under 16 must be accompanied by an adult! Fun for the whole Family!!

October 25th- Russell PRIDE Clean Up Day!! For the elderly over 65 and disabled. Call 785-483-5853 to get on the trash pick up schedule. All items must be placed at the curb by 8am! Thanks to the Russell Area Community Foundation for the grant funds that allow PRIDE to do this project!

October 25th- Russell Sunrise Kiwanis Club Parade!! Line up will begin at 10:15am at 9th and Main in Russell. Parade will start at 10:30am in Downtown Russell and go to the Ruppenthal Middle School gym where a parade of costume and treats will follow!

October 25th- Fall Festival & Parade! Annual Parade will begin at the Lucas Community Theater. Costume judging begins at 4pm and the Fall Festival begins at 5pm at the Lucas City Park. Games include; pumpkin carving contest, firepits/cookout, a haunted maze, and an outdoor movie with concessions. For more information, please contact the Lucas Community Theater!

October 25th- Benefit Bake Sale! Starting at 8am in front of Klema's Apple Market in Russell. Cookies, Cupcakes, breads, pies, cakes, and more!! All proceeds will help Kellie Donovan and her family with medical expenses while she battles cancer. October 25th-26th: LAST WEEKEND FOR GRANNY MAE'S PUMPKIN PATCH!!! Hours are Saturday from 10am to 6pm and Sunday from 1pm to 5pm! Come out to Granny Mae's Pumpkin Patch and enjoy six unique pumpkin patches, trolley rides, carnival games, the Haunted Forest, roasting peanuts and marshmallows, the Cider House and much more! Don't forget to pick out your perfect pumpkin!!

October 26th- Hell Creek on Heels 50k Trail Run Event! Registration will begin at 8am at the Switchgrass Trail at Wilson Lake! Racer meeting at 8:45am and the Race will begin at 9am!! Relay Teams are allowed! Onsite registration is available- $25 for solo or $25 per individual on teams! To register, please visit!
